The Survival of ANZUS JAP PACIFIC are at Stake with PRC in FIJI
Over a year ago we had blew the whistle on the intentions of China in the Pacific and more specifically in Fiji. In a nutshell what we predicted were as follows:
First, that the Republic of the Fiji Islands would become the Terrorist Hub of the Pacific. Secondly, that they would be protected by Chinese submarines. Third, that Fiji would be used for the purpose of transshipment of embargoed cargo contraband and humans to neighboring Pacific rim States. Forth, that Native Land would be compulsory acquired without compensation as a direct result of the purported abrogation of the 1997 Constitution so that Fiji would become the slave food and fresh water supplier for the Chinese Army and Navy in contemplation for World War III. All four intentions are in their advanced stages of physical manifestation.
For obvious reasons the ordinary Fijian does not believe any of these things probable and think that the only fight is against an established dynasty and a psychotic oxymoron and prefer to deal with the problem from the lens of ones respective province.
This is understandable, however as will become apparent only when it is too late, these established state structures and traditional institutions have been used as we all know because it is in their self preserving selfish interest to do so without regard for the ordinary Fijian.
We are well and truly running out of time to nip this evil at its root.
What has to be made clear is that China and Islamic radicalism have taken a firm root in Fiji and the opportunity cost in not intervening will far exceed that of the other failed Melanesian experiences, nor will the cost only be confined to monetary terms.
This is a whole different dimension and although understandably it may be tempting to classify our situation in Fiji as just another wontok state failure or a Burmese boot camp. It is not.
We will say it clearly once again, FIJI has been and will be used as a launch pad to attack the integrity of regional stability in the Western Pacific. We have seen it happen in the past month. China through the military regime will undermine the long term national security interests of our Pacific Rim powers and major trading partners.
Once Chinas military and naval capabilities are at par with the United States, which is much sooner than you may think, it will expand its territorial outposts to control the south western Pacific and influence commercial as well as military maritime traffic.
In no uncertain terms, Chinas influence over the Fiji Military Junta is based on offensive intentions that will be too late to subdue if the Fijian junta are not shown the big titanium stick now.
It is the right and duty of the United States, Japan, Australia and New-Zealand with the endorsement of the Pacific Island Forum pursuant to a liberal interpretation of the provisions of the Biketawa Declaration to intervene and free Fiji from Fear and Want.
In the end it is a question not only of the survival of ordinary Fijians on our tiny island, but the very survival of American, Japanese, Australian, New-Zealanders and other Pacific Islanders too.
Make no mistake, Geography WILL NOT ISOLATE the threat.
