  • Politics should be Removed from the Fiji Military Forces

Politics has hindered the progress and tarnished the image of the Fiji Military Forces.

The Solution therefore is to remove the Fiji Military Council to reduce the burden on taxpayers and our super fund thus reducing the annual budget of the Fiji Military Forces by FJD $900,000.00.

The government should push ahead to reform the Fiji Military Forces so that they make themselves useful by patching potholes, building roads, sea walls etc and hence cut the cost of contracting these works to offshore companies that do not employ local skills.

These reforms will make the Fiji Military Forces a viable entity to be retained when Democracy is restored.
