Julie Bishop calls for End to Fiji UN Peacekeeping
There are calls for the Rudd Government to take action against Fiji after the military regime gave Australian academic Brij Lal 24 hours to leave the country for making comments about the country's political situation.
It comes after Fiji expelled the Australian and New Zealand High Commissioners.
The Rudd Government has expelled Fiji's High Commissioner in Canberra, but Julie Bishop says representations to the UN should be made to cease using peacekeepers as a major source of funding for the military regime.
