The Time has Come to End this Tyranny in Fiji
The words of Barack Obama in his first visit to Africa comes to mind in these dark times in the isles of Fiji.
The key to our Nations future prosperity is a democratic and accountable government.
Development depends upon good governance.
We cannot create wealth if our leaders exploit the economy and enrich themselves.
No business wants to invest in a place where the government skims a percentage off the top.
No person wants to live in a society where the rule of law gives way to the rule of brutality and bribery.
That is not democracy, that is tyranny, and now is the time for it to end.
If our former lawful leaders are unable to lead the majority of the people of Fiji to overthrow Frank Bainimarama now, then perhaps it is time for a radical change in leadership.
