Win We Have and Win We Shall Fiji Freedom Bloggers
The apparent lack of political will to eradicate the coup culture in Fiji is shocking. Some feel the need to accept what has happened over these past three years and move on with their heads buried in the sand indifferent to the long term consequences of not bringing Frank Bainimarama and his co-conspirators to justice for the most serious crime in our land, Treason.
It is absolutely necessary that the pacification and spirit of forgiveness derived from our Christian upbringing as well as our customary traditions are not muddled with the fact that Treason was committed and that there will be an investigation by an Independent Police Commissioner that will lead to their arrest upon which charges will be laid by an Independent Director of Public Prosecution to face trial before an independent and impartial Judiciary established pursuant to our Supreme Law, the 1997 Constitution of Fiji and that those facing trial would be guaranteed the rights safe guarded in our Constitution.
This will happen and we will ensure that it does, whether now, in 2014 or otherwise. It is our duty to make the necessary sacrifice without fear or favor, with diligence and strength and in Brij Lals words “to exorcise the country of the demons that terrorise it soul”.
Put simply, one cannot sit on the fence, irrespective of whether one is a Fijian Indian Rotuman Chinese, or of European decent. The rule of law and the supreme law of the Land must be respected and obeyed always and those that transgress same must be brought to justice.
In a nutshell, you are either for the rule of law or against it, there is no grey area and no room for people that continue to sit on the fence hoping to obtain favor either way, this war must be fought for to achieve what is right, not for what you may gain as a result.
If our collective intentions are noble, genuine and detached from material rewards we will win and the only thing that is needed to win is a collective consciousness when we think and act as ONE.
There is also no need for political correctness and diplomacy in advocating for justice notwithstanding how uncouth or severe the strictures directed at the coup conspirators may sometime sound, nor the condescending tone in which same is delivered.
We are here to WIN and WIN we HAVE and WIN we SHALL, that's how you eat an Elephant, one bite at a time, and look at it, it has collapsed right before our very eyes, that's what you get when we “regurgitate” the same “stuff” on a “different day”.
