• United States Funding to Fiji for Democracy Human Rights Rule of Law

  Approximately FJD$1,160,520.00 is available from the United States Federal Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) for FIJI Entities :

  (1) providing technical assistance to political parties;

  (2) supporting clean and effective electoral processes and voter/civic education programs;

  (3) promoting tolerance between the Fijian majority and the Indo-Fijian minority;

  (4) building the capacity of civil society groups to promote democracy and respect for human rights; and/or

  (5) promoting independent and free media. Proposals may address one or more program area.
