Management Perspective on the New World Order
From a management/leadership perspective, structural market changes have been taking place since the 1950's when the ICT industry allowed businesses to respond more quickly and effectively to the three main global forces in market changes - customers, capital and companies.
The developed economies have helped organize these into regions and plans by using strategic value management and innovation in order to meet customer demand that is fulfilling and sustainable. Economics and technology will then follow from these. Within such a new friendly environment and framework, underpinned by democratic institutions, statistically backed research and development plans can be put in place to process the new model of economic development away from the old order of Aristotle's negative zero sum game or winner take all, that did not work.
Today, the new information, culture, attitude and communication is about building 'win win' positive relationships between the customer and the service provider by being entrepreneurial - add value while changing.
If the Illegal Interim Regime and their representatives in Fiji can't see this 'groundswell' opportunity to add value through a culture of service within the trade agreements in PACER, PICTA, EPA and the Pacific Plan, then the Fijian term 'ulu kau' is appropriate for them.
Where ignorance is bliss it is folly to be wise! This includes all their excuses and lies to grab and hang on to the PEOPLE'S POWER.
Honourable Dr. Mere Tuisalalo SamisoniSDL member for Lami Open Constituency.
